About the SHINE Project

SHINE is implemented under the Erasmus+ Programme – Small-scale Partnerships in Youth (KA210-YOU). The project focuses on improving the quality of youth work and non-formal education for young people with mild and moderate intellectual disabilities.

It supports the understanding of sexual health, personal boundaries and healthy relationships, while strengthening the competences of youth workers, educators and caregivers through practical and accessible materials. The project also promotes inclusive learning environments using digital educational solutions and supports families in discussing sensitive topics in a safe and respectful way.

The core idea of SHINE is to use Game-Based Learning (GBL) as an engaging, accessible and effective method to support learning about sensitive but essential topics related to sexual health and personal development.
